communications in New York, Meera worked with a leading national television channel but soon gave it up because she
felt she was given a raw deal.Meera Chopra is originally from the modeling world. Her first film was Anbe Aaruyire (Ah
Ahh) produced and directed by S.J. Suryah, in which he played the lead role. It is Suryah who was responsible for
bringing her into films and who changed her name to Nila in Tamil.
The enchanting beauty Meera Chopra first met S J Suryah. He gave Meera Chopra a screen name 'Nila' and offered her
a movie "Anbe Aaruyire" in 2005 which was her first movie in Tamil. Meera Chopra's [Nila] acting talents soon got
recognized and she landed several offers from Telugu movie
industry as well.
